Born and raised in the Northeast, Joplin began his career at a young age when he dropped out of high school to pursue a career in folk singing. After some years of traveling the country collaborating with other musicians, he found commercial success in the late 1990s with his band the “Josh Joplin Group.” Their single “Camera One” was the first ever from an independent label to reach No. 1 on Adult Album Alternative Radio. In 2008 Joplin and Nashville musician Garrison Starr formed “Among The Oak and Ash,” bringing an old-timey sound to a current stage. Most recently, Josh released a music video for his recent solo work “Best Intention Yet” which can be seen at his website www.joshjoplin.com.

At the age of 21, Great American singer/songwriter Steve Forbert left his small hometown in Mississippi for the Big Apple, bringing his rootsy American sound to NYC’s subway platforms where he busked for change. His 1980 hit “Romeo’s Tune” shot him into the spotlight, earning No. 11 on the Billboard Top 100 list during a time when folk music was overshadowed by Punk and New Wave. Thirty years and countless albums and accolades later, Forbert is still at it, touring all over the world to share his relatable stories in song about life so far and our shared human experience. One of the best of his kind with plenty still to share, Forbert is a real living legend.
