Katie Reneker is the founder of Carmel Berry, a pioneering company dedicated to sustainability via domestic Elderberry cultivation—an initiative previously reliant on imported dried berries. Reneker’s innovative approach included mentoring and granting support to numerous small farms, inspiring similar efforts by other companies.
My involvement with Reneker began in 2020 when she launched Carmel Berry Co, during which I provided website copy as part of the Tastefully Made design agency. In 2023, Reneker enlisted my assistance again to launch her new product line: Elderberry gummy herbal supplements. I played a key role in branding these products, conceptualizing the name “Eldie,” and collaborating with Reneker on the original packaging designs for both the standard and honey version.
